The second mausoleum in the garden of the Hagia Sofia belongs to Sultan Selim II. It was actually the first of the mausoleums to be built on the grounds of the Hagia Sofia, in 1577. The Iznik tile panel on the left is a forgery of the original, sent to France for restoration in the late 1800s.
