The mid-point
A sign marking the [symbolic] mid-point of the mid-atlantic ridge near Hafnir on the Reykjanes peninsula. Off on the left is the North American plate, and on the right is the European plate. Of course, the boundary cannot be made as precisely as this, but the surrounding area is indeed right atop the ridge.
