Wild Goat
Wild goat, as seen along the Kalalu Trail on Kaua'i. The goat is not native to Hawai'i, and has caused a large amount of damage to its native plant species since it was introduced two hundred years ago. The native Hawaiian plants in the area have little in the way of taste, physical, or poison defenses, and as a result, they are rapidly consumed by grazing ungulates such as these.
