The most impressive ceiling frescoes in the Sala di Constantino in the Vatican Museums. Painted by Tommaso Laureti, the central part of the fresco has the wonderfully haunting and slightly disturbing 3-D trompe l'oeil called The Triumph of The Cross. Completed in 1585.
