The Gallery of Maps
A long, seemingly endless hallway in the Vatican Museums, called the Gallery of Maps. It contains old topographical maps of the whole of Italy frescoed on the walls. All of them were painted by the same artist -- Ignazio Danti -- and were done in the late 1500s.
