The Capitoline She-Wolf
Also known as the Capitoline Wolf, variants of this statue are found all over Rome and are considered a symbol for the city (often with the acronym SPQR underneath). The statue dipicts the suckling of the two infants Romulus and Remus, who are according to legend supposed to be the founders of Rome. This particular instance stands outside the Capitoline Museums.
