This is the Baptistry of St. John -- one of the religious edifices in Pisa's famous Piazza dei Miracoli (aka Piazza del Duomo). It is the largest baptistry in Italy, and is quite a neat building built in a synthesis of architectural styles - Romanesque on the bottom, Gothic on the top.
