A great spot along the hike down Hermit Creek where we descend out of the Tapeats layer and into the Vishnu Schist. The layer delineation is close and excellently exposed here. Rock above the line = 250 million years old. Rock below = 1+ billion years old. The interval between the two represents a heck of a lot of erosion!
