The cut-out
This is one of the spots along the Wildcat Ridge trail described as 'steep and exposed'. There's a cut gouged out of the granite (as you can see). There is some exposure on the left, but this would only be tricky if traction was an issue (e.g. icy). Note the little dead mouse -- Looks like he passed away from exposure.
