Original Bronze Horses
These are the original bronze horses that once stood before the upper facade of the Basilica of S. Marco in Venice. The Horses have apparently had a long and tumultuous history, apparently originally being looted from Constantinople. They were later taken down and transported to Paris by Napolean, but were eventually returned. The horses outside are now replicas.
