Brian hikes through the open sections in the lower Calamity Brook valley. Off in the distance, Mt Colden pokes it's pointy head above the skyline. In the near background, note the tall pine that has been snapped off partway up. This was a grand tree that was standing proud just a year ago! (see picture from last year's Cliff trip here.)
