Route along the edge
Looking north-westwards along the edge of the main western escarpment in Capitol Reef. The trail to the Navajo knobs more-or-less follows the edge of the escarpment, heading in and down and out and up (because of the tilt of the Waterpocket fold). Our destination, the Navajo Knobs, is a tiny point of sandstone far away, just to the right of the clouds you see in the distance.
