Just south of the Dollhouse is this pretty flat-bottomed, walled valley. I'm almost positive this is a Graben. There is a distinctive region of Graben (and Horsts) just over the river in the Needles District, and I'm pretty sure this is a continuation of that region. A Graben occurs when a section of crust under tension (from tectonic forces) develops two parallel faults. The land in the middle of the two faults slips down, forming the flat-bottomed valley.
