The Koroc Step
A close-in view of the Koroc notch and step. At first I thought this was a dike, but now that I see it up close I don't think it is, given how the grain and layers are concurrent with the parent rock. Instead I think it is simply a vein of the parent rock with a different composition. Perhaps some differentiation occured as the melt crystallized?
