Thanks to all who helped make our re-aquisition of SLMP smooth and successful. Hopefully success, health, and inner peace come to those who have left us. And to those who came back, THANKS!!
Thanks to the HUGE groups and CLUBS who attended events here at SLMP as we completed our season. Your love for the sport and dedication to it have made Karting more popular than ever! The Alpine/Sunbeam Tigers East hosted a phenomenal event here. We hope you enjoyed your 25th anniversary celebration with us. The feedback was extremely positive!
The Sports Car Club of Vermont returned and the weather was great, and the Cars were "HOT"! Their website can be reached at http://www.sccv.org/.
The NCKC (National Capital Kart Club) has now completed their series here and I'm sure points are being calculated for their Finale Banquet in Ottawa by now! Check out their site - It's state-of-the art! (http://www.nckc.net)
The Vermont ShifterKart Club just had a wonderful weekend (other than the welcomed fall coolness at night). They turned out in a BIG way and had a GREAT time! Thanks Jeff for pulling it all together; you are an awesome person, racer, friend, and colleague! visit their website at http://www.vtshifterkarts.com/ (p.s. I think Mike Murphy slept good when he got home!! What a workout!)
Other club and groups have sent inquiries and we hope to include them in 2006 Scheduling! How about some Pocketbike racing? !!! That would be an event to see! All in all, the people, the clubs, the racing and the autocross events were huge successes in making SLMP what it is today. And for that, we Thank you. Please visit our friends in Motorsports websites. Join a racing club now, or sponsor a driver!

As many of you now know, the sale of SLMP to Cartier Motor Sports has "fallen through" (for lack of a better term!). Joe and Andrea would like all to know that all club events are still ON and will be held as scheduled. The original slmp web page is now back up. There is some uncertainty about the web address for this site, and there may be a change coming on this front. Ideally it will be the same as before (http://www.slmp.net). For the time being, the secondary web address http://slmp.webhop.net will get you to the the slmp web site (presumably you already know that, since you are reading this!!).
New Restrooms have been built and are functioning. Jim Brewer is, as always, keeping the lawn manicured beautifully. Thanks for ALL YOU DO JIM!!

To: All Shifterkart Enthusiasts
SLMP is pleased to announce that on Saturday, Sept. 28th, we will be holding our Fall Dash for Cash!
This event will be open to all Shifterkarts, 80cc, 125cc, ICC, Moto, S1, S2, G1, you name it!
The purse will be a minimum of 50% of all entry fees, plus any product sponsorship we can get.
We will run Rain Or Shine, so bring appropriate tires. Tires are open.
At the conclusion of racing, we are planning a BBQ and bonfire for all attendees.
If you would like to come, please let us know by responding to this e-mail, so we have an idea of the amount of food (and gas) we should plan
on bringing.
Please pass this information on so we can quickly get a wide distribution.
We also intend to run a series of our own next year and would like your input.
Here are the details:
- Practice Fri Sept 27 Noon-dusk (entry 25.00 US + 5.00 US each pit pass)
- Race Saturday Sept 28 (entry $45.00 US with driver's pass, all other
pit passes $10.00 US, BBQ included)- Open to all 80cc shifters (370 pounds), all 125 shifters (385 pounds)
- Simple rules:
- Open tires
- CIK bodywork
- Track fuel
Saturday schedule:
- 9:00-11:00 practice 4-15 min sessions each class
- 11:30 80 cc prefinal 15 laps
- 12:00 125cc prefinal 15 laps
- lunch
- 1:30 80cc final 20 laps
- 2:30 125cc final 20 laps
- 3:30 Presentations, BBQ to follow

The SKUSA Ontario event scheduled for this upcoming weekend (August 24, 25) has been cancelled due to a too small number of pre-entries.
The NCKC event also scheduled for this weekend is still on as scheduled.

The SKUSA Ontario event scheduled June 8-9 has been rescheduled at the last minute, tentatively to September 28th and 29th.
We also have an NCKC event scheduled on the 29th. The NCKC Events were scheduled very early on this spring and are SOLID - and will happen regardless.

Seasons Greetings to all
Just a quick note before you all take off on your Snowmobiles and Holiday Vacations: Saint Lawrence Motorsports Park has already been contacted by a few different organizations to set up scheduling for events for the 2002 racing season. These tentative dates will be posted and then confirmed as soon as possible. We also look forward to adding hydro (i.e. power) to the site in the spring, and more pit accomadations! Please keep us in mind for next years racing, and feel free to keep in touch.
