Lafayette Summit Rocks

With a stiff breeze whipping about from time to time, we arrived at the summit of Lafayette. It would be repetitive to again list all of the superlative views, so I won't do that again here.
We didn't stay long, because we wanted to get back to the car in a timely fashion so that we could make the long drive back home at a reasonable hour. So, a quick summit photo and we headed west, down the trail towards the Greenleaf hut, and from there down the Old Bridal Path trail to the trailhead.

Snow flutings

The first part of the way down had a good amount of snow. Kick stepping down was a fast and easy way of making progress. Further on down, in the low scrub and pines, we were frustrated by the excessively postholed-up trail and the softness of the snow. For our own sanity, we re-donned our snowshoes, allowing us to stay on top of the snow rather than in it.
