Finally, we reach the far end of the lake, and with it, the end of the Lake Road. We follow the road down about a kilometer to complete the loop portion of our hike (and to pick up our ski gear, which is at this point).

A few minutes later and we're back on the skiis, gliding quickly and effortlessly down the road back to the trailhead. Jenn's not so sure about the effortless part, but she does well anyway! It takes us no time at all and we are back at the gate, then the car, by 5:30. A very scenic and very enjoyable day. Couldn't ask for better conditions!

This hike marks number 27 and 28 in my winter 46er list. Only 18 to go! This hike also marks the halfway point in Jenn's own 46er quest. Congrats Jenn! A little over 1 year and already you've done half of the 46!
