Esther Mountain North Route

A very short winter hike up the only mountain in the Adk 46 named for a woman. Much mythology surrounds this peak, apparently. We started out on a moderately cold, clear and fairly windy day. Our objective : Esther via the direct off-trail route up the first drainage (from the toll road). Along for the ride: Myself, Markus and Caroline. Full Trip Log can be read here.
