Santanoni is the highest of the peaks in the Santanoni Range. This range is somewhat removed to the west from the main body of the High Peaks. Santanoni is an officially untrailed peak. Although treed, the summit has several excellent viewpoints to the east and these viewpoints afford a panoramic view of the entire High Peaks region, and from a unique angle to boot. Santanoni is usually done in conjunction with the two other peaks of the Santanoni Mountains (Couchsachraga and Panther). It is a long hike in to do these peaks. See the climbing logs / trip reports / image galleries references below for detailed information on the mountain and the route.
