This is an excellent sub-4000 footer, and a good intro hike. The trail to the summit from the north is interesting and has several excellent lookouts and ledges. The summit is bare, and to the west is bordered by a precipitous cliff. Superb views of the Great Range, Dix Mountains, Giant Mountain, Keene Valley... you name it! A very worthwhile hike.
