Centrally located between the MacIntyre and Great Ranges, Colden offers an excellent vantage point for viewing both. The summit itself is not bald, but does offer many excellent open ledges in most directions. There are many routes up this mountain, including two trailled ones and the excellent Trap Dike scramble route.
